Columbia Gas of Ohio customers will pay an extra $47 million per year under a plan approved today by the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio. The increase, which covers the cost of delivering natural gas, will raise monthly rates about $3.50, or 3 percent, for a typical customer. The rate change will be phased in over the next two years.
